We are constantly on the look out for amazing suppliers who can add a little something special to your big day, and The Crafter certainly fits the bill! Based in Hampshire, Amy runs craft workshops to help you create your own items (think favours, bunting and props), and can also create bespoke orders for you.
The Crafter will be joining us at The Bridal Bazaar at Bury Court Barn, and running three workshops on the day. We thought we’d let Amy introduce herself!
I trained in Textile Design (Knitwear) and have spent the last 7 years working in Secondary Education as a Design & Technology Teacher in Romsey, Hampshire. I finished working at the school in the Summer to focus on the business with the hope of bringing my passion for craft to a wider audience.
As a business, we run practical workshops, courses and parties around Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset and London in a variety of creative areas. I teach most of the workshops and I have a team of freelancers who work alongside me. I’ve also just started a You Tube channel where people can go for video craft tutorials.
At your event I will be running 3 short activities that should take no more than 15 minutes.
People can choose one activity for £5 or pay £8 to make one and take home a goody bag with the others, plus instructions. In addition to the workshops, I will be selling craft kits and taking orders for customised kits/products. I will also bring my diary for party bookings.
One of the greatest things about running the Bridal Bazaar and Boot Sale is meeting fabulous, talented wedding suppliers from across the South. Allow us to introduce you to photographer, Matthew Cleveland.
Over to you Matt…
Howdy, I’m Matthew, a wedding photographer living on the south coast of England with my wife George. There’s some debate about how long you get to be newlyweds but I still count us in this bracket, we only got married last year after all!
I photograph weddings in an informal style known as documentary wedding photography — it’s also called reportage wedding photography and wedding photojournalism too — where I don’t interfere with the events of your day. This lets me photograph real moments that are shared between those that you love the most.
Having only recently picked my own wedding photographer I know how hard a decision it can be. If you’d like some advice on what to consider and ask when picking your photographer let me know! I’ll be at Bridal Bazaar this coming Sunday 27th September at Bury Court Barn.
My top tips for getting the most out of wedding photos, come your big day…
Open the curtains and pull up those blinds, let the natural light in!
If there’s something you want to do, say. A couple recently had their portraits in a playground. We had fun and it looked great.
Send your plan for your day to your photographer early on, you can always update it later but it lets us get organised for your day.
And lastly… Relax, you’re going to have an amazing day!
We’re super excited to be bringing the latest edition of the Bridal Bazaar, featuring the Bridal Boot Sale to Bury Court Barn on 27th September 2015.
From exquisite florals, DIY ideas, a wedding dress sample sale and designer shoes, there will be some fabulous suppliers showcasing their wares. Add to that fabulous newlyweds selling on their pre-loved items, we’ve got all things bridal covered.
We’re thrilled to announce the full line up for the day. Make sure you stop by to meet all of these lovely folk:
